First Ever Giveaway set to start 4/10

So this update was actually scheduled for Sunday but as you see that didn’t quite work out as I been falling asleep hella early. Any new working person knows that feeling of feeling absolutely old and falling asleep hella early and waking up the next day with that feeling of what the fudge?!? Did I just sleep 12 hours?!
Yep that was the last two days for me, now onto the actual post of my first ever giveaway.

Okay so the books hosted in this giveaway will be (queue’s drumroll) Candide by Voltaire, Divergent by Veronica Roth And Room by

Quick summary of each book

“Candide is the story of a gentle man who, though pummeled and slapped in every direction by fate, clings desperately to the belief that he lives in “the best of all possible worlds.” On the surface a witty, bantering tale, this eighteenth-century classic is actually a savage, satiric thrust at the philosophical optimism that proclaims that all disaster and human suffering is part of a benevolent cosmic plan. Fast, funny, often outrageous, the French philosopher’s immortal narrative takes Candide around the world to discover that — contrary to the teachings of his distringuished tutor Dr. Pangloss — all is not always for the best. Alive with wit, brilliance, and graceful storytelling, Candide has become Voltaire’s most celebrated work.”

Okay sounds boring right? It really is not, it actually is really great and action packed and such a short read. I remember really enjoying it even though it was a school read, it was really fast paced full of sarcasm and sexual innuendos that many times made me laugh out loud. Altogether I really enjoyed this read and now want to share it with you.

“This special edition of the first book in Veronica Roth’s #1 New York Times bestselling Divergent trilogy features cover artwork from the major motion picture starring Shailene Woodley, Theo James, and Kate Winslet. This dystopian series set in a futuristic Chicago has captured the hearts of millions of teen and adult readers.

Perfect for fans of the Hunger Games and Maze Runner series, Divergent and its sequels, Insurgent and Allegiant, are electrifying thrillers filled with tough decisions, stunning consequences, and unexpected romance. Fans of the Divergent movie will find the book packed with just as much emotional depth and exhilarating action as the film, all told in beautiful, rich language.

The paperback edition includes exciting bonus materials: an author Q&A, a discussion guide, a Divergent playlist, faction manifestos, quiz questions, writing tips, and a peek of the second book in the trilogy.

One choice can transform you. Beatrice Prior’s society is divided into five factions—Candor (the honest), Abnegation (the selfless), Dauntless (the brave), Amity (the peaceful), and Erudite (the intelligent). Beatrice must choose between staying with her Abnegation family and transferring factions. Her choice will shock her community and herself. But the newly christened Tris also has a secret, one she’s determined to keep hidden, because in this world, what makes you different makes you dangerous.”

If you haven’t heard of this book seriously you must have been hidden under a rock somewhere. It’s really good and action packed, definitely a great dystopian novel, I personally loved it and with the new movie out I’m sure it’s a great addition to any young adult collector and reader. Not to mention this book is totally bomb diggity.

“To five-year-old Jack, Room is the entire world. It is where he was born and grew up; it’s where he lives with his Ma as they learn and read and eat and sleep and play. At night, his Ma shuts him safely in the wardrobe, where he is meant to be asleep when Old Nick visits.

Room is home to Jack, but to Ma, it is the prison where Old Nick has held her captive for seven years. Through determination, ingenuity, and fierce motherly love, Ma has created a life for Jack. But she knows it’s not enough…not for her or for him. She devises a bold escape plan, one that relies on her young son’s bravery and a lot of luck. What she does not realize is just how unprepared she is for the plan to actually work.

Told entirely in the language of the energetic, pragmatic five-year-old Jack, ROOM is a celebration of resilience and the limitless bond between parent and child, a brilliantly executed novel about what it means to journey from one world to another.”

I’m not gonna lie the narration by a five year old at times had me super annoyed, but I think it gives this book a unique perspective. You get to learn and live through the eyes of a five year old and realize slowly how messed up his life is. Its sweet how he doesn’t realize all that is happening and it has a kind of bittersweet ending and I kinda wanted it to have a sequel just so I would know how Jack adjusted. Overall I really think anyone should give this book a real shot.

Winners will be announced and instructed at that point to email me at to follow up with sending me your address for the giveaway, I’m really excited for this giveaway and hope I get a lot of entry’s.
